Mercedes has showcased the most luxurious sedan, the Mercedes-Maybach S600 Guard at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.

As the name suggests, the vehicle has been designed and built to withstand even the most brutal of attacks.

The S600 Guard is the first complete VR10 certified premium passenger car, meaning its body and windows can even stand against the hardened steel core bullets fired from an assault rifle or even rocket-propelled grenades. Mercedes has used special PE components and polycarbonates for windows in order to achieve the top-level of protection.

The S600 Guard is equipped with armor underneath the passenger compartments, which protects occupants inside even if an explosive were to occur directly underneath the car. Also, the new armoring across the sides protects passengers from side-impact explosions as well.

Powering the aggressive beast is the 6.0-liter V12 engine, which delivers 523 horsepower, despite its actual weight of about 3 tonnes. This exclusive vehicle that never comprise in luxury and protection will make its Indian debut on March 8, with a price tag of close to Rs. 10 crore.
