Samsung has announced the 2016 model year of the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 smartphones back in March in China. The pricing details for the smartphones were not revealed back then, however, we now know their price tags. Both smartphones have been officially launched in South Korea and they were up for sale in Korea as well as China.
The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) is priced at KRW 290,000 (approximately Rs 17,000) while the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) has been priced at KRW 363,000 (approximately Rs 21,000).
Both the Galaxy J5 and J7 fall under the mid-range category that comes with really impressive specs packed inside the metal frame. These smartphones will be sold by the Korea’s largest service provider company – KT Corporation.
Spec-wise, the bigger Galaxy J7 comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display featuring a pixel density of 402ppi. Powered by an octa-core processor, the handset packs in 3GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage with microSD expansion slot (up to 128GB). On the rear, you’ll get a 13MP camera along with a 5MP front-facing camera. Both of them feature f1.9 aperture with LED flash. The device supports 4G LTE, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and other usual connectivity options. Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the Galaxy J7 packs in a 3300mAh battery and weighs in at 170 grams.
Samsung Galaxy J5, on the other hand, packs a 5.2-inch 720p display, a quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory and a 3100mAh battery. Other specification of the phone will remain to be the same of the Galaxy J7.
