The 2018 Mercedes-AMG E63 has been spotted testing on several occasions and the ultimate performance E-Class is now undergoing winter testing.
It seems that you don’t have to wait longer until the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class will arrive at your local dealer.
The spy shots reveal the sporty quad-exhaust pipes and some exterior styling cues. The 2018 E63 AMG is expected to receive the 4.0-liter V8 biturbo mill with an increased output that goes well past the current 503 hp that both the AMG GT S and C63 S produce.
Apparently, the E63 AMG will get a dry sump lubrication system, something that both the AMG GT S and Mercedes-AMG C63 S don’t have.
So, the upgraded V8 biturbo should produce a 550 hp range output, at least. Some rumors have claimed that the E63 will receive Mercedes’ 4MATIC all-wheel drive system.
But, we shouldn’t forget that AMG head Tobias Moers has said that it will take another few years to drive the maximum potential from the 4.0-lite V8, letting us know that more excitement are ahead.
