Android 6.0 Marshmallow hitting Lenovo Vibe S1 units worldwide

Last Updated: 13 August, 2016

Lenovo has started rolling out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow updated to its Vibe S1 smartphones starting this week. This update comes after the A7000, K3 Note and Vibe P1 smartphones started receiving the update over the past few months.

The over-the-air (OTA) update has been received only by the users in the United Arab Emirates and India. If you’re in these territories, you’ll be seeing a notification popping out telling you to download and install the software. The update weighs in at 1.6GB, so we highly recommend you to switch to your Wi-Fi before hitting the download button.

The update brings all the goodies associated with Marshmallow such as Doze Mode and App Standby for improved battery life, the new permissions system, Now On Tap, and much more.

If you have chosen default storage option for storing your content, then you need to back up the content that you have on SD card in order not to lose any data.
