Android 7.1 Developer Preview to Hit Nexus Devices this Month, Will Launch in December

Android 7.1 Developer Preview: Google announced the new lineup of smartphones, the Pixel in early October and they are the first in the market to get Android 7.1 Nougat inside officially. There are no official updates on when the latest update would arrive to other devices. Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones will come with inbuilt Google Assistant and other improved features and performance.

Android 7.1 Developer Preview to Hit Nexus Devices this Month

Google today has announced the list of devices that would be getting the latest Android 7.1 update, including the Motorola Nexus 6, HTC Nexus 9, Huawei Nexus 6P, LG Nexus 5X, Pixel C, Asus Nexus Player, as well as supported Android One devices.

The developer preview of the Android 7.1 is expected to hit these devices by the end of this month and the official release is all set in December. If you are a part of the Anroid Beta Program, you’ll be receiving the developer preview notification this month.

Android 7.1 Developer Preview Features

The developer preview of the Android 7.1 will come with improved features and enhanced performance such as App shortcuts API, Circular app icons support, Enhanced live wallpaper metadata, Image keyboard support, and Storage manager Intent.
