Apple TV update

At its press conference in Cupertino, San Francisco, Apple announced some amazing updates for its Apple TV platform, which the customers were requesting for a long time. The updates include support for folders, dictation, Live Photos in the iCloud Photo library and Siri support in the App Store.

Apple CEO Tim Cook mentioned that there are around 500 apps available for the Apple TV, including BrainPOP, GrubHub, and the HBO Now app, among others.

The notable update would be the support for diction allowing users to enter text on their Apple TV over its voice-driven technology. Customers can use their voice for usernames and passwords, “You’re really going to love it,” Cook enthused.

Siri also received an update, letting users search the App store as well. Just like Folders on your iPhone, you can now organize your apps in folders. Additionally, the iCloud Photo library on Apple TV now supports Live Photos.

According to Apple, the new update will start rolling out today.
