Asus has unveiled its much-awaited smartphone, dubbed Pegasus 5000 in China. The new smartphone is the latest addition to its Pegasus series, which comes with a masculine battery portfolio. The Pegasus 5000 was launched in two RAM variants – 2GB RAM and 3GB RAM variants where the former is priced at CNY 1,299 ($198) and the latter arrives at CNY 1,799 (S274). There’s no word from the company about its availability outside China.
Running Android 5.1 Lollipop based Asus’s ZenUI, the handset houses a 5.5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080p) display, 13-meagapixels on the back with f/2.0 aperture, 5-megapixels on the front and a 4,850mAh battery. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The dual SIM smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek SoC alongside 16GB inbuilt storage and a microSD expansion up to 32GB.
The new Pegasus 5000 supports 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and Micro-USB connectivity options. It measures 155×76.4x9mm and weighs 176 grams.
