Asus ZenFone Max with 5000mAh battery becomes official in India

Asus has announced a new smartphone, the ZenFone Max back in August last year and the smartphone is now available through the country’s leading e-commerce platforms, the Flipkart and Amazon India. Priced at Rs. 9,999, the smartphone is now up for pre-orders through Flipkart with a tentative release date of Januarys 14. Amazon India has scheduled the release for January 15.

Specs-wise, the handset is powered by a 1GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 SoC and sports a 5.5-inch IPS HD (1280×720 pixel resolution) display with a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The device packs a whopping 5000mAh battery, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, 13-meagapixel rear camera, and a 5-meagapixel front shooter.

The new Asus ZenFone Max runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with Zen UI 2.0 on top. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS, Glonass, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. The dual-SIM smartphone is available in black and white colors.
