It’s been a while that Honda has not updated its luxury sedan Honda Accord for the Indian market. Literally, the Accord was not listed on the company’s website and the sale was also halted for a couple of years now.
Indian Bound Honda Accord Hybrid
Honda is now bringing the ninth generation Honda Accord to India in the form of Hybrid variant. The Honda Accord Hybrid will be launched in India on October 25, just a few days ahead of the festival of lights.
Honda Accord is one of the best selling cars in India and its re-entry to Indian market will keep it high above the bar. We can expect Honda to bring both diesel and petrol variants to India.
The anticipation has already gone to the sky as customers started to enquiry and book the Indian spec Accord Hybrid. Pre-bookings for the sedan have already started across the country. The base trim of Honda Accord Hybrid is expected to carry a price tag of Rs. 25 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Accord Hybrid will clash directly with Toyota’s Camry Hybrid after its launch. The sedan gets a complete overhaul inside, however the exterior has got minimal cosmetic upgrades. It is similar to the Hyundai Elantra featuring a subtle European design.
The Honda Accord Hybrid is powered by a 2.0-liter petrol engine alongside twin electric motors making it as a hybrid sedan. Together it produces 296bhp of power and 300Nm of torque which is powered by a CVT transmission.
We will get you more details about the Indian bound Honda Accord Hybrid once it is launched in India officially.
