Chevrolet’s facelift Beat is due for launch in early 2017, and the company has now released images of the hatchback. It will be offered as facelift model with no mechanical upgrades. Cosmetically, the new Beat is limited to a few changes, though, the front fascia gets a prominent larger honeycomb grille, and bigger headlamps.
On the side portfolio, you won’t find any major design upgrades except significant wheel arches. On the rear, it is expected to get a set of new taillights. The cabin is expected to get a refreshed look with all bells and whistles for a compact car.
The Beat facelift will be offered in petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol version will be powered by a 1.2-litre four-cylinder engine which puts out 77bhp of power and 107Nm of torque. The diesel, on the other hand, gets a 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine which puts out 56bhp of power and 143Nm of torque. Both the engines will continue to be offered with a five-speed manual transmission.
