BMW showed its elite vehicle, the X4 M40i at the ongoing 2016 Detroit Auto Show. Though, the sports coupe originally debuted in October, it will be available at dealers starting February 2016.
With an improved intelligent xDrive all-wheel drive, the X4 M40i is powered by a 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder TwinPower Turbo mill that churns out 355hp at 6,001rpm and 343Nm of torque from as low as 1,350rpm.
Paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission, the X4 M40i completes the sprint from zero to 60 mph in just 4.7 seconds before hitting its electronically limited top speed of 150 mph.
Beyond that, there’s the typical array of near-M-spec exterior and interior enhancements. Large wheels – standard 19-inchers or optional 20s – fill out flared wheel arches and sit between more aggressive front and rear fascias.
In the cabin, M has fitted its usual oversized steering wheel, along with M-badged door sills.
