BLU launched two of its latest smartphones at this year’s CES – the BLU Vivo 5 and Vivo XL. Both come with a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display and MediaTek chipsets with an octa-core processor.

The BLU Vivo 5 carries a price point of $199 which will hit the market next month. For this price, you’ll get a MediaTek 6753 chipset clocked at 1.3GHz, 3GB of RAM, 32GB inbuilt storage, a 13-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel snapper at the front. It sports a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED 720p display with 267ppi. Running Android 5.1 Lollipop out if the box, the handset packs a 3,150mAh battery. You can get one on Amazon or BestBuy next month and it will be available in White-Silver and Solid Gold colors.

Packing the same 720p display and MediaTek chipset of Vivo 5, the BLU Vivo XL has slightly downgraded specifications. Ram and internal memory have been reduced to 2GB and 16GB respectively and an expandable memory slot is added then. There’s a slight difference in terms of the build, as the Vivo XL features a glossy finish complete with a subtle pattern at the back.
