Recently, Ducati has withdrawn one of its models globally, the 899 Panigale, and will be replacing it with the 959 Panigale. The new sports bike is expected to land here by June 2016.
The Ducati 959 Panigale has been updated in order to meet the Euro4 emissions norms and it packs an improvised aerodynamics and electrical upgrade. The fascia of the sportier has been redesigned to give an aggressive appeal and the upgrades include a wider fairing, windshield and a larger air intake unit.
Powering the monster is the liquid-cooled L-twin Superquadro 599cc engine, which delivers 157bhp and 107Nm of torque. The electronics package includes ABS, traction control, quick shift, engine brake control, and ride-by-wire throttle. It will be offered in three editions – race, sport and wet.
There’s no word about the pricing of the 959 Panigale, but considering the powertrain and technical upgrades, the bike will get a slight higher price point than 899 Panigale.
