Bairavaa Movie Review: Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Bairavaa, the most anticipated Tamil movie, written and directed by Bharathan was released worldwide today. Gorgeous Malayali actress Keerthy Suresh is Vijay’s love interest in this film, which was bankrolled by Vijaya Productions.
Right from the first look to the trailer, Bairavaa has been making lots of buzz and created such hype that movie buffs went crazy over the film. The pre-release promotion of the film was a huge it, its trailer made record numbers on YouTube viewsbeating all past records of Vijay’s previous movie. Despite the film received grand reception, it didn’t satisfy the audience, in fact Vijay fans were upset over the film, which failed to garner positive reviews. Bairavaa turns out to be another most hyped movie but ended as another clichéd Kollywood Masala flick which has nothing to offer other than colossal disappointment for the audience.
Bairavaa Movie Story
The film was all about a daring tax collector, who winds up battling against a major criminal who had his grasp on the educational sector in Tamil Nadu. Vijay falls in love with Keerthy Suresh at the first sight. While pursuing her, he come to know about her flash back and understands that her life is in question because of a few occasions that occurred in her life. So he chooses to spare her by tackling the issues of her. What are those issues in which Keerthy’s character arrives on and how Vijay’s character settle it shapes the plot of Bairavaa.
The performance of Vijay was good not surprisingly, as he generally clutch his stupendous screen nearness more than his ability as a performing artist. Keerthy Suresh excessively looked great and she doesn’t had anything much to do. Keerthy Suresh throws her cute expression here and there and the chemistry between them didn’t work as expected. Sathish did provide some comic relief here and there as well. Jagapathi Babu, Daniel Balaji etc did their part well and Mollywood artists like Vijaya Raghavan, Aparnna Vinod, Seema G Nair also done well in the movie.
Santhosh Narayanan’s songs didn’t save the film, though as it appears that songs were forced into the plot. But the background music was good and that had helped the mass sequences, especially, the pre-climax fight a lot. There isn’t much grasping scenes in the film, but stunts were really good that evokes a little.
In total, Bhairava is a movie which has been made only for the fans of Vijay and it seems that even his fans will not love it as much as they like his previous movies. So, it is a movie that can be avoided if you are not a hardcore Vijay fan.
