With the ongoing second season of TV drama series ‘Lucifer’ set to witness the second half of the season in May, Fox has given an early renewal for a brand new season of Lucifer. The order for the Lucifer Season 3 is for a complete 22 episodes which is the second drama series ordered for the next season after Empire.

The series fans were eagerly looking forward for the Lucifer season 2 which returns on May 1. The series got impressive ratings among other television drama series and goes head-to-head ratings with bigger profile Gotham.
Produced by Warner Bros, Lucifer is the DC Comics adaptation on the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg for Vertigo, stars Tom Ellis, Lauren German, Rachael Harris, DB Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro, Aimee Garcia, Tricia Helfer and Scarlett Estevez. The series is executive produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman, Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson. Len Wiseman serves as director and executive producer. Kapinos serves as executive consultant on the series.
“Lucifer is one of those rare shows that starts strong out of the gate and just keeps getting better and better,” said Fox entertainment president David Madden. “Tom, Lauren and the entire cast have really made these characters three-dimensional, and the production team – Jerry, Len, Jonathan, Joe and Ildy – is one of the best in the business.”
There is no word on when Lucifer Season 3 will be aired yet, though the second half of Lucifer Season 2 will air from May 1 on Fox.
