Fox has officially renewed the Lucifer Season 3 for a complete 22 episodes. The second season of the American fantasy drama television series is still ongoing with the second half of the season 2 returns on May 1 but that wouldn’t stop Lucifer lovers from speculating the happenings in the season 3 premiere.
The last episode ‘A Good Day to Die’ depicted Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) going to hell in order to explore formula for the antidote to revive Chloe (Lauren German) who was hospitalized. Lucifer’s mother (Charlotte) tries to bring her son back from hell, but he disowns her for deceiving him and Chloe couldn’t find Lucifer anywhere. With expectation exceeded, the fourteenth episode ‘Candy Morningstar’ will be a delight for the fans that has lots of fascinates to reveal.
The return of Lucifer season 2 episode 14 will bring out Lucifer’s new relationship status and as per the title and the looks, it is expected this episode will feature him tying the knot with a lovely woman named Candy and his return to Los Angeles. With a total of 22 episodes, season 3 is going to be stunning with a fascinating storyline revolving around the lead characters.
Spectators were overwhelmed with the exciting plot for the season 3 that would witness Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt) and Amenadiel uniting together in the premiere episode. Maze’s husband will get into the plot in episode 19 with the script for the episode being posted on Lucifer’s official Twitter handle and it will be titled ‘Mr. & Mrs. Mazikeen Smith’. After the end of episode 13, there have been several anticipation and questions in the mind of viewers, of which all of them will be revealed in the second half of the season airing on May 1.
By that time, Lucifer and Chole would be in actual relationship as they have strong feelings for each other, though Lucifer thinks her love might not be genuine as she was there only to be in his path. In episode 16, we can expect God (Timothy Omundson) and Charlotte (Tricia Helfer), Lucifer and Amanediel’s (D.B. Woodside) parents to get back together. With the things to get engaged and intriguing in season 3 an important character is likely to be killed in the season 2.
The ratings for the ongoing season 1 are pretty impressive and it’s sure that the season 3 will garner significantly more amazing rating than the past two seasons. The cameos in the season 2 would have exciting storylines in the season 3. There’s no word about the release date of the Lucifer Season 3 yet, however it is expected the show to premier sometime in September this year.
