First response launches Bluetooth Pregnancy Pro Digital test and App at this year’s CES. The device merely looks like a traditional pregnancy test module, but it won’t show plus or minus symbol as others do. Instead, the Pregnancy Pro Digital Test has a tiny screen that shows a symbol once you’ve opened it up that indicates it’s ready to be paired with your iOS or Android smartphone. The app is where everything related to the pregnancy test will happen.

Once you’ve paired the device with the app, there will be some initial screening. It uses the answer of the first question to change the experience you’ll have as you go through the app.

Once you’ve taken the test using the stick, there’s here’s still a three-minute wait, just as with any normal pregnancy tests. Unlike other test processes, First Response has tried something new that makes the user get engaged with other stuff.

The app pops out three options – educate me, calm me, and entertain me. If the user taps on the entertainment option, BuzzFeed videos will be played. If the user taps Calm Me, meditation music or peaceful videos will be served. The education choice supplies fertility information.

Your test results will not be revealed until you supply a security code to the app. You can find the code on the testing stick and then it reveals the news. If the test result is positive, the app would say, “congratulations,” and from there the app will provide an estimated due date, suggested questions for the doctor, send reminders for prenatal appointments and supply updates about gestational development.
