Here’s India’s most affordable $3.60 smartphone: 1GB RAM, and 4-inch display

    India’s Ringing Bells has unveiled its latest smartphone, dubbed Freedom 251, the country’s most affordable smartphone. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 251, which is just under $4. Unbelievable, right!

    At this price point, you’ll get a handy smartphone with a 4-inch qHD IPS display, a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of inbuilt storage, a microSD expansion of up to 32GB, 3.2-megapixels on the back, a 0.3-megapxeil front snapper, and finally a 1,450mAh battery.

    On the connectivity front, the handset is equipped with 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, and GPS. Running Android 5.1 Lollipop, the handset will be available in solid white color.

    Ringing Bells says the phone is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “empowering India to the last person, transforming India’s growth story.” India’s Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar will officially launch it later today.

    The Freedom 251 comes with a one-year warranty, and the company has over 650 service centers across the country. It will be available to order from the company’s official website starting 6:00 AM tomorrow (February 18).
