Garmin has launched two smartwatches for the Indian market, the Forerunner 230 and Forerunner 235. The former will cost Rs. 22,990 and the latter at Rs. 27,490 will be exclusively available on Flipkart.
Both the Gramin smartwatches feature GPS, Glonass and are resistant to shock and water up to 50 meters. As far tracking activities, they include running, sleeping, counting steps, calories, and distance covered. The wearables even show maps aside running matrices like pace, speed, and distance.
Both smartwatches are compatible with iOS, Android, and Windows 10 devices and use Bluetooth for connectivity. Once connected, you’ll see notifications for incoming calls, text, calendar reminders, and more.
The Gramin Forerunner 230 features a 1-inch (215 x 180 pixels) display and claimed to offer up to 5 weeks of battery life in Watch mode and up to 16 hours in Training mode. It measures 45x45x11.8mm and weighs 41 grams.
On the other hand, the Forerunner 235 comes with a slighter big display (1.23-inch) and can offer up to 9 hours of battery life in watch mode and up to 11 hours in training mode. It can measure heart rate as well. It also shows VO2 max, which are the primary differences between the two.
