Honor V8 goes official in China with best-in class specifications

    Huawei has added a new smartphone to its Honor lineup. Called the Honor V8, the handset is already up for registrations on several online retailers in China and will go on sale on May 17.

    The Honor V8 offers two choices of screens based on the storage – the 32GB variant has a 5.7-inch full-HD display while the 64GB variant comes with a 5.7-inch Quad-HD display. Other than that, both variants share the same specs. The handset is powered by an octa-core Kirin 950 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB storage option. There’s a microSD expansion slot for up to 128GB if you need additional memory space.

    The Honor V8 sports dual 12MP rear cameras with dual-tone LED flash, laser autofocus, BSI sensor, and a f/2.2 aperture. On the front, you’ll have an 8MP shooter with f/2.4 aperture. Connectivity options include 4G LTE with support for Indian LTE bands, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, and an Infrared emitter. It is backed by a 3500mAh battery that comes with quick charge support. The dual-SIM handset runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow masked with EMUI 4.1. It will be available in Platinum Gold, Rose Gold, Champagne Gold, and Glacier Silver color variants.
