Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Recall Program: The era of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 ends today after multiple exploding incidents of replaced Galaxy Note 7 reported. Samsung has no way other than scarping the Note 7 production and ending the sales of the smartphone.

Samsung today’s official statement clears the air that the company has discontinued the production of the Galaxy Note 7 permanently and asked the retailers and partners to stop the sale of the Note 7 devices.  Samsung also urged the users of the Note 7 to power it down and take the device to the original store where it was purchased for a full refund or exchange.

How to Get Full Refund or Exchange the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 in the United Sates

To make it easy for our readers in the US, we have consolidated the information found on all the carriers’ website in the United States in regards to returns. Here’s what you have to do with your Samsung Galaxy Note 7:

AT&T

AT&T will exchange your Galaxy Note7 for another smartphone that meets your needs and refund the difference if necessary. AT&T will also refund any Note7 accessories. Customers that choose a more expensive smartphone will be expected to pay the difference between the two products.

All AT&T customers that purchased the Note7 through AT&T will also receive a $25 statement credit which will appear “within two bill cycles” and will show up on the statement as: “Samsung Note7 Exchange Credit.” This bill credit will only be applied if the owner opts to stay with a Samsung device.

T-Mobile

T-Mobile has asked its customers to visit any T-Mobile retail store to begin the return process. You can bring any version of the Note7, along with accessories you purchased for the Note7 from T-Mobile, to a T-Mobile store for a full refund. You can then apply the refund towards the purchase of any device in T-Mobile’s inventory as a replacement. They will waive any restocking charges, and if you purchased during pre-order you can keep the free Netflix subscription and Gear Fit or SD card you received.

Customers who purchased the Note7 on or before September 2, 2016 will automatically receive a one-time $25 credit on their statement within two bill cycles.

Verizon

Verizon has asked its customers to visit Verizon corporate store with their Note7 devices and accessories for a full-refund or exchange it with any available devices. No mention on $25 credit, as other carriers is offering the $25 credit for the inconvenience casued.

Sprint

Sprint asks customers to power down the device and bring the device to the retail store for a full refund. Customer will need to make an appointment online to skip the line. A Sprint employee will help you choose another device, you must apply a difference if its more expensive, or a partial refund if of lesser value.

Those who exchange their Note7 devices for either a Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 edge will receive a $25 bill credit within 3 bill cycles.

All upgrade, activation, and restocking fees will be waived.

Best Buy

If you have an original Galaxy Note7 or a replacement Galaxy Note7 you should power down the device and visit the nearest Best Buy store for a refund or exchange.

Customers should approach ‘Blue Shirt’ guy to initiate the return. Don’t talk to Samsung guys. The Blue shirt guy will offer two options:

  1. Exchange your current Galaxy Note7 for a Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge or any other device for a refund of the price difference between devices. You may also return and exchange all Galaxy Note7 accessories.
  2. Return your Galaxy Note7 and all Note7 accessories for a full refund.

U.S. Cellular

U.S. Cellular is yet to update the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 recall page. They will also be offering a full refund or exchange option as other carriers are offering the same. If you need updated refund information right away, your best bet would be to call U.S. Cellular at 1-888-944-9400.
