Jayalalithaa Wikipedia: Rumours were set on high about health status of Tamil Nadu Honourable Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, after she suffered a cardiac arrest on evening of 4th December. As soon as the news broke out, some have edited her Wikipedia page claiming she is dead and the post went viral on social media. Several AIDMK cadres and Amma supported gathered at the hospitals and despite rains at night, they stayed put there looking forward about Jayalalithaa health status.

She was moved to CCU after a cardiac arrest and she undergone a minor cardiac surgery earlier today. Several rumors and fake news have started circulating on social media reporting Jayalalithaa as dead and trying to create havoc situation across the state.

The DGP of the sate have ordered all police personals of all departments to report for duty with uniforms. Several police troops have been deployed across the state and at the hospitals to prevent havoc. Center has said that they are ready to support Tamil Nadu with any help they needed.

The Wikipedia page of Jayalalithaa shockingly reads – “Jayalalithaa Jayaraman (born 24 February 1948), commonly referred to as Amma and Puratchi Thalaivi by members in her party; also called as Selvi J.Jayalalitha, or Kumari Jayalalitha or Jaya or Jayalalitha Jayaram, was an Indian politician and the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, in office from 2015 to 4th Dec,2016. She died of a cardiac arrest on Dec 5, 2016 while undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital in Chennai.”

The Jayalalithaa Wikipedia page was edited on December 4 at 11:24pm whose intention is to spread chaos in the state and create panic among people. However, the page was immediately edited to reflect correct info. It is clear that the fake Wikipedia page is a hoax which people of Tamil Nadu should not believe or spread the fake news on WhatsApp and other social media platforms. People should not get panic until official confirmation from the government or the hospitals is out. She was admitted to hospitals on September 22, after she suffered from prolonged lung disease, fever and dehydration.

Apollo Hospitals have been disclosing on Chief Minister Jayalalithaa’s health now and then. According to latest press release from the hospitals, Subbiah Viswnathan, COO of Apollo Hospitals said, “The Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu who suffered a cardiac arrest yesterday evening, continues to be very critical and is on ECMO and other life support systems. The Honourable Chief Minister is being treated and closely monitored by a team of Experts.”

It is noted that hospitals have mentioned Jayalalithaa is in “very critical” condition in the press note releases a few minutes ago. All AIDMK party supports and general public are offering prayers and performing pujas across the state for speedy recovery of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.
