Television journalist and researcher Satyendra Murali alleged that Indian Prime Minister Narendara Modi’s “Address to the Nation” on November 8, 2016 at 8PM was not live but pre-recorded and edited.

Narendra Modi announced on November 8 at 8pm that effective from midnight the same day, Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 cease to be a legal tender that makes them mere paper from November 9 unless they were deposited to banks. The sudden decision by the Central Government has raised several questions that put the entire country in chaos. Trades and cash flow have been stagnated which created economic emergency in the country.

He says PM’s speech on the night of November 8 was a recorded one and the way it was telecasted saying it live was unethical and misleading the entire nation.  The people of the country were deceived. The massage to the nation had been written several days ago and it was recorded in the PMO  and it’s their duty to respond through RTI.

Journalist and researcher Satyendra Satyendra Murali said when asked about the RTI (PMOIN / R / 2016/53416), the PMO has not responded evasively by the application of Information and Broadcasting, Ministry of Economic Affairs Department.

He transferred to the regular RTI number DOEAF / R / 2016/80904 and MOIAB / R / 2016/80180 which is now public. Satyendra said it was recorded in the PMO, and it is the responsibility of PMO to answer to the RTIs.

He said that PM Modi has violated and misused the decision-making authority of Central Bank on currency ban (Notbandi) which he made it all alone consulting respective authorities.

The Central government claimed that the decision to demonetisation was entirely confidential and the decision about it was revealed to the Cabinet Ministers just prior to the announcement of the Prime Minister. Only a few were aware of the decision including Finance Minister, the central bank and finance ministry officials.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley told the media that the central bank was offered on November 8 at 6 pm, 7 pm meeting of the Cabinet, in which he briefed the ministers and the Prime Minister addressed the nation at 8 pm.

In order to convince the people of the country, the government said that Prime Minister had kept it highly confidential and it was suddenly announced drama, but it was not.

Because of PM’s decision, hundreds of people have died in the country. “

“Today the public is feeling a bit cheated. I believe he took unilateral, biased, contradictory and questionable legitimacy of the honorable motive this dictatorial decision may be challenged before the Court by law. PMO should direct reply to questions from the RTI RTI Act, 2005 to comply.” Journalist added.
