Meet Ambula Gopi Raja who has come up with a fabulous prototype that would save lives of millions of farmers in the country suffering from infection due to prolonged association with pesticide. He was very much worried on learning about his father, a farmer, whose lungs were infected after prolonged use of pesticide.
Gopi is doing his 3rd year B.Tech in KL University though of making a drone sprayer to spray pesticide over the fields. He came up with a prototype called the Fopple Drone that can spray pesticide as well as spread seeds over the fields. He discussed the idea with the researchers at the Centre for Innovation, Incubation and entrepreneurship (CIIE) at his university.
He along with his friends designed the Fopple Drone and it worked as expected spraying pesticide and spreading seeds over the fields. His prototype has been approved by Acharya NG Ranga Agriculture University, Hyderabad and won numerous accolades as well.
“For uninitiated viable start-up ideas, the centre provide support functions, mentorship and resources This enables them to get expert advice and technical guidance that they need to survive for a longer time, unlike the usual entrepreneurial ventures that fizzle out within months of their launch,” says Dr K Raja Shekhar, an associate dean at the CIIE.
At Techiewheels, we appreciate such innovative concepts and wishes Ambula Gopi Raja and his friends to make this project successful. We are hoping the prototype soon become production ready model and should be used in agricultural lands across the country.
