At an event held in China, LeEco has unveiled a trio of smartphones with impressive processing power and advanced specs – the Le 2, Le 2 Pro and the Le max 2. All these smartphones are the successor of the Le 1, Le 1 Pro and the Le Max.
All three smartphone ditch the regular 3.5mm headphone jack and instead take over USB Type-C audio connector featuring Continual Digital Lossless Audio (CDLA ) technology to offer high-quality audio. All three smartphones are packed together under metal chassis and they are compatible with LeEco’s VR headset that was announced at the same event.
This is the boss of the package that houses pretty impressive hardware and software. The Le Max 2 packs in a 5.7-inch QHD bezel-less display with 1440 x 2560 pixels of resolution. Under the hood, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset that’s paired with a whopping 6GB of RAM. In terms of storage, you can pick either a 32GB or 64GB variant, but it is worth to be noted that only the 64GB variant boasts 6GB of RAM while the 32GB one has only 4GB of RAM.
The phone sports a 21MP Sony IMX230 sensor with optical image stabilization, f/2.0 aperture, and phase detection AF. There’s an 8MP selfie camera as well. The battery is 3100mAh, which features Quick Charge 3.0. On the connectivity front, the Le Max 2 supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, and Micro-USB Type-C connectivity. On the back, you’ll get a fingerprint scanner with Qualcomm’s ultrasonic fingerprint sensor technology. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EUI 5.5 skin on top.
The LeEco Le Max 2 is priced at CNY 2,100 ($325) for the 32GB variant and CNY 2,500 ($385) for the 64GB model.

This one comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD bezel-less display with screen resolution of 1920 x 1808 pixels, with a pixel density of 403ppi. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio X25 processor clocked at 2.5GHz, clubbed with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage.
Though the phone comes with the same 21MP Sony IMX230 sensor with phase detection AF, it slashes out the OIS. On the front, you have an 8MP selfie camera. You’ll get the same connectivity options as seen in Le Max 2, and it packs in a 3,000mAh battery with fast charging technology. It also runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EUI 5.5 skin on top. There’s a fingerprint scanner too.
The LeEco Le 2 Pro will set you back CNY 1,500 ($230).

The youngest of the trio features the same 5.5-inch bezel-less 1080p display and has slightly downgraded specs. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio X20 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, clubbed with 3GB of RAM, Mali GPU, and 32GB of storage.
Camera-wise, the handset sports a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing selfie camera. You’ll get usual connectivity options and it packs in a 3000mAh battery and a fingerprint sensor on the back. Even, this one runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow wit EUI 5.5.
This phone will cost you CNY 1,100 ($170) at current currency conversion rate.
