China’s LeTV to enter Indian market with its Le Max smartphone

It was earlier reported that the Chinese Internet conglomerate – LeTV has plans to enter Indian Market on January 5. As such, no word about the product was revealed at that time, and finally, the company opens its mouth. LeTV will be introducing the Le Max flagship smartphone in India.

LeTv will showcase the phone at a preview event on January 5, followed by a launch sometime in January. To be noted that the phone was launched in China in April earlier this year.

In terms of specifications, the flagship Le Max smartphone features a 6.33-inch QHD display with 2560×1440 pixels screen resolution. Powering the phone is the Snapdragon 810 SOC with 4GB RAM. It comes in multiple internal storage options – 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB.

The handset sports a 21-megapixel primary camera alongside 4-megapixel Ultra pixel front snapper. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop based EUI and packs a 3400mAh battery. There’s a fingerprint sensor as well.

The 32GB variant of the smartphone is being sold at CNY 2,999 (approx. Rs. 31000) in China. LeTV will have to be aggressive in terms of pricing in order to reach the nation’s wider audience.
