LG announces four new X-series smartphones

In a bid to persuade specific categories of people, rather than introducing a smartphone with all the goodies, LG has launched a new series of smartphones that each outclasses in only one department – camera or battery or processing speed or display. Therefore, you’ll buy a smartphone that has a feature you want the most, at your budget. Most of all, you don’t have shell out more cash on these smartphones. That’s the main reason, why LG launched X series of smartphones earlier this year. LG has already released two smartphones – the X cam and X Screen, and now LG is announcing another four variants – the X Power, X Style, X Max, and X Mach.

Both X cam and X Screen were mid-range devices with mediocre specifications but each of them boasts one premium features down the line targeting mid-range market. Likewise, these four smartphones should be sounding in any one of the departments. LG hasn’t revealed specs or pricing for the newcomers, but that being said, don’t expect for big specs because they aren’t that category. They’re really meant to be good enough to satisfy their intended owners of the crowded market.

The X power, as the name suggests, it puts a massive 4100mAh battery inside a 7.9mm thin metal body.  It packs a 5.3-inch 720p display, quad-core MediaTek processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and 13/8MP camera units. This particular model was launched in Ukraine last week, so we have got our hands on specs.

The LG X Style is for consumers who look for a slim phone at a decent price tag. It has an extra slim body with gracefully curving lines all covers its body. According to the model that was officially launched in Ukraine, this phone should have a 5-inch HD display, Snapdragon 410 SoC, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera and a 2100mAh battery.

The X Mach is all about performance – fast processing and wireless data. It offers a 1.5GHz processor with Category 9 LTE that is meant to achieve faster download speeds. It will also have a large 1.55~CHECK~m sensor camera for taking good quality photos in low light conditions.

The X Max will have a large display. But, we’re not sure how large the display is. That’s all we’ve from LG at this time.

LG hasn’t revealed the pictures of the phone either. All the four new entries are expected to feature the same colors as that of the first two smartphones. We’ll get to know every inch of details about the phone when they are launched in the local markets in the coming days.
