We all know that the country’s homegrown carmaker is about to launch an array of vehicles in the coming years. The company has a big market space in SUV segment in domestic as well as it’s missing an MPV (Multi-purpose vehicle) lineup.

To fill the space, Mahindra was spotted testing a production ready MPV in the outskirts of Chennai.

The new Mahindra MPV is heavily camouflaged, however its design languages such as a sloping roof, three rows seating configuration, and hatch-type rear door opening. These traits confirm it’s the new MPV that came into the spotlight two months ago.

The new MPV is due for launch sometime in 2018 which is expected to be offered in both petrol and diesel engines. We can expect a new engine lineup for this car. This Mahindra MPV is likely to have the front-wheel drive as standard while all-wheel drive being optional.
