Mahindra, last year, unveiled the revamped version of the XUV500 with a bunch of new features and design overhaul. Of those, the notable features that were offered with XUV 500 – push-button start and stop system and passive keyless entry. To the surprise, Mahindra has limited these two features to the W8 and W10 models.
Mahindra is finally bringing these two features to the most requested manual version of the W8 model and the W10 AT. The XUV 500 W8 manual version will be boasting these two features as standard but the automatic version is not getting these features for now, at least.
Instead of regular key, the XUV 500 W10 AT is now getting a smart key type along with the request buttons on the front door handles. The price of the W10 AT remains unchanged while the FWD trim will retail at Rs. 17.08 lakh and the W10 AWD AT will set you back at Rs. 18.17 lakh (Both refers to ex-showroom prices, Mumbai).
Under the hood, the XUV 500 AT is powered by a 2.2-liter mHawk diesel engine churning out 140bhp and 330Nm of torque. These models are the fastest selling models in the XUV 500 lineup, and the addition of these features is quite appreciated.
