Maruti Suzuki has launched a new variant for the Baleno lineup, the Zeta variant, which will be sold along with the outgoing models. The premium hatchback has already proven its credibility with high waiting periods that the company is considering to manufacture the car at its upcoming Gujarat plant.
When the Baleno was launched back in October last year, the company offered only one variant in automatic avatar until now, the Delta variant. With the Zeta variant being introduced, the Baleno will be available in two automatic trims in total. The new Zeta trim is priced at INR 7.48 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Zeta trim sits high above the Delta trim, so you’ll get all the bells and whistles with the new variant. It is powered by the same 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine that generates 83bhp of power and 115Nm of torque. The claimed ARAI mileage is rated at 21.4 km/l which is the same as the manual model.
The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is offered in four trims – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. The hatchback is available in shades of premium silver, Pearl arctic white, Granite grey, Solid fire red, Premium urban blue, Autumn orange, Metallic and Ray blue. As for now, the automatic is available in two trims; however, the top-of-the-line trim Alpha is yet to get a CVT one.
