Mercedes-Benz GLC Made its Indian Debut at the 2016 Auto Expo

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled its new generation GLC luxury crossover at the ongoing Auto Expo in Delhi. The Mercedes-Benz GLC (used to be GLK) is based on the Mercedes’ C Class was revealed last year and its launch is reserved for a later date sometime in mid-2016.

The new generation GLC will be offering the features of the GL-Class and the luxury of the E-Class.

The GLC fascia looks almost similar to the C-Class with an appealing twin-slat grille and sweptback headlamps.

On the inside, the cabin is inspired from the E-Class offering tons of features, including, free-standing display, Mercedes’ COMAND infotainment system, a touchpad for navigating through the menu, ARTICO leather upholstery, a choice of two 3-spoke steering wheel designs and more.

The boot space is spacious with capacity of 550 liters, and with the rest seat folded, you’ll get about 1600 liters. The crossover is 4,656mm long, 1,644mm high, 2,096mm wide, and has a wheelbase of 2,874mm.

The company isn’t revealing the specifications of the GLC just yet, however, it is said to be powered by an 1199cc turbocharged diesel engine mated to nine-speed 9G Tronic automatic transmission. Also, the pricing of the car is yet to be disclosed.
