Microsoft has been reforming and adding new looks and features to its signature Live Tiles UI since Windows 8’s introduction. The company is now very serious about making its Live Tiles more interactive and impressive in terms of design, and their developers are working to offer rich experience to its users for a couple of years now.

Although the fundamental operation of Live Tiles are going to be the same, but predominant features are expected to be added to the new Live Tiles UI. We’ll get to know about several features and properties of the Live Tiles at the Microsoft Build developer’s conference next week.  The company is holding a session entitled “What’s New for Tiles and Toast Notifications.” The session teases that Live Tiles are about to change. “Live Tiles are evolving with two highly-requested surprises that you won’t want to miss,” read the session notes. Windows 10 was originally supposed to ship with interactive Live Tiles, so Microsoft might be ready to include them in an update.

Previously, it was made easier to interact and respond with apps notifications through the Live Tiles. Now, you can perform multiple operations within the Tile itself, rather than launching the app. For instance, instead of tapping on a tile to reply to an email, you’d be able to scroll through your messages from within the Tile and reply inline. And, there are a lot to be revealed and we’ll keep you posted out a lot more about Microsoft’s Windows 10 at Build 2016.
