MWC 2016: ZTE unveils Blade V7 and Blade V7 Lite smartphones

ZTE unveiled its Blade V7 line handsets at the ongoing Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Alongside the new Blade V7 smartphones, the company has also announced its Android-based Spro Plus mobile projector.

ZTE Blade V7

The New Blade V7 sports a 5.2-inch 1080p display and supports dual-SIM functionality. The device runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and packs in a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a microSD expansion slot, 13megapixels on the rear, 5-megapixels at the front and a 2,500mAh battery. The device supports 4G LTE, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, USB OTG, Micro-USB, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, accelerometer, proximity, ambient light, compass, and gyroscope. Measuring 146×72.5×7.5mm, the handset will come in Gold and Silver colors. The phone equips a fingerprint sensor as well.

ZTE Blade V7 Lite

The ZTE Blade V7 Lite, on the other hand, has lighter specifications than its sibling that includes 5-inch 720p display, a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735P SoC, 2GB of RAM, and 8-megapixels on the back as well as front. The handset retains all other specification from its sibling, the Blade V7.

ZTE Spro plus

The company touts the ZTE Spro plus as a smart projector, that features an 8.4-inch TFT QHD AMOLED display, an 11,500mAh battery and runs Android 4.4 KitKat. The Spro Plus will be available in two versions – Wi-Fi enabled one packs a quad-core Snapdragon 801 SoC while the LTE model features a Snapdragon 625 SoC.

ZTE Spro plus

The handset packs 3GB of RAM and comes in either 32GB or 128GB built-in storage or supports expandable via a microSD slot up to 2TB. The highlight of the device is its WXGA projector which offers 500lm brightness and also sports auto-focus. It can project 80-inch picture from a distance from 2.4 metres. ZTE has revealed that the Spro Plus mobile projector will be available from mid-2016.
