Pornhub, the largest and the most popular porn site on the web has launched an initiative to save the endangered marine animal.

Honoring the World Whale Day, which is on February 13, Pornhub started a fundraiser campaign. This means Pornhub is donating one cent for every 2,000 video hits between February 9 and February 28 to Moclips Cetological Society, a non-profit organization.

The Moclips aims at preserving whales and other cetacean animals such as dolphins and porpoises. Pornhub has seen a huge traffic last year that’s around 88 billion views.

Based on this report, some experts good at math estimated that Pornhub would generate $36,500 bucks for Moclips Cetological Society during the campaign.

“Humans are not the only mammals that engage in sexual activities for reasons other than procreation,” Ken Balcomb, president of Moclips Cetological Society, said in a statement. “Cetaceans … are very sexual animals and have evolved a variety of fascinating social life histories beyond simple procreation.”

“We’re now asking our community turn their attention to — and help save — a different type of blowhole,” Corey Price, Vice President at Pornhub, said in the statement, “one that belongs to a majestic species that once swelled in numbers throughout the oceans before commercial industries initiated their demise.”

Past campaigns have included Save the Boobs, its breast cancer awareness campaign; Save the Balls, its testicular cancer awareness campaign; and Give America Wood, a campaign designed to promote awareness and interest in Arbor Day.
