Users of Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 devices in the UK have begun receiving the latest version of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow that bumps the firmware version to T710XXU2CPD9. Samsung is bundling the Android security patch for the month of April along with the update.

Only the Galaxy S2 Tab units with model number SM-T710 are receiving the update for now. The update will be rolled out to other models in the coming days.

You’ll be receiving the over-the-air (OTA) notification or you can also manually check the update by heading to appropriate tabs in your phone’s Settings app.

If you have chosen default storage option for storing your content, then you need to back up the content that you have on SD card in order not to lose any data.
