Samsung launches Gear IconX, Gear Fit 2 and Gear VR headset in India

    Samsung today launched the most anticipated the Galaxy Note 7 at an event in Delhi. Alongside the Note 7, the company has also unveiled the new Gear VR headset, Gear IconX wireless earbuds, and Gear Fit 2 fitness tracker to compliment the Note 7.

    The company also launched the Gear VR headset with a slight tweak in design – wider 101-degree field of view, a USB Type-C port as well as micro USB port to run on other Galaxy smartphones. It also comes with sensors like accelerometer, gyro meter, and proximity.

    Then we have a Samsung Gear IconX wireless earbuds that ditch wired connectivity between the buds and to the phone as well. Everything goes wireless. The Gear Icon X has a 3.5GB of storage, two microphones, and sensors for tracking your activities. The carry case also doubles as a charger for the buds.

    Gear Fit 2 fitness tracker

    Finally, there’s the Gear Fit 2 fitness tracker that has a built-in GPS and sensors to track all your activities and sync with your phone through Samsung’s S Health app.

    Samsung slashes the price of the VR headset to Rs 1,990 throughout the preorder time frame, but you’ll have to shell out Rs 7,290 post pre-order period. The Gear IconX wireless earbuds and Gear Fit 2 will set you back at Rs 13,490 and Rs 13,990 respectively.
