Sony India has launched an A-mount camera, the A68, the latest for the Indian lineup. The A68 shares several features from the previous outing A77M2 and especially it features Sony’s 4D Focus system that offers better AF performance under any shooting conditions ranging from lighting as low as EV-2.
The A68 camera is equipped with a large Exmor CMOS image sensor with approximately 24.2 MP provides for high image resolution, delicate tonal gradation, and expressive bokeh. And the BIONZ X featuring advanced image reproducing technologies and processes vast data from the sensor at high speed for more realistic images. The duo is a perfect match for shooting in the wide ISO range of 100-25600 and producing beautifully sharp, clear results.
The camera boasts phase detection autofocus (PDAF) with 79 focus points, including 15 cross points. The camera also has a dedicated f/2.8 sensor point for better low-light shots. Translucent Mirror Technology to deliver constant AF tracking at up to 8fps continuous shooting.
The full HD movies feature use the efficient “XAVC Sv” format for high-bit-rate recordings at up to 50 megabits per second (Mbps) with fine detail and low noise. The 2.7-type LCD monitor tilts up to 135 degrees upwards or 55 degrees downwards for comfortable composition from a wide variety of shooting angles.
The model ILCA-68/BQ IN5 (Body only) is available at Rs 55,990 while ILCA-68K/BQ IN5 (with SAL1855) model can be purchased at Rs 59,990. The high-end ILCA-68M/BQ IN5 (SAL18135) model is available for Rs 85,990.
