After a beta release last month, Sony has now officially rolled out the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow to the Xperia Z2, Xperia Z3, and Xperia Z3 Compact devices. The update bumps the firmware to build number 23.5.A.0.570 as well as includes the February Android security patch and the latest camera app interface.
However, the update is being rolled out to specific models for now, the D6503 Z2, the D6603 Z3, and the D5803 Z3 Compact. Apparently, the update is not happening in all part of the world, just yet – so far it’s the US, Russia, Ukraine, Middle East and North Africa, and perhaps Latin America.
If you are in the market and if you have any of these models, you’ll be receiving the update notification. If now, you’ve to patience for some more days, until the update is rolled out globally. You don’t have to wait that longer, it will happen in the coming days.
