The first live image of the upcoming Samsung’s Galaxy S7 Edge surfaced online, showing the front of the phone. The leaked photo has been outed by a Weibo user soon after the first live image of Galaxy S7 regular model showed up.
Of course, the Galaxy S7 edge has got a curved surface and looks lot like the Galaxy Edge S6. But, this time, the S7 Edge will feature a large 5.5-inch display with curved edges than the regular Galaxy s7’s 5.2-inch display. The live image shows the results that gone through the AnTuTu benchmark, confirming the S7 Edge’s model number as SM-G935.
As far rumored specs, the Galaxy S7 Edge will be powered by either Samsung Exynos 8890 chipset or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 depending on the market it is being sold. The handset packs 4GB of RAM, 32 or 64GB of inbuilt storage, a microSD expansion slot, 12=megapixels on the back, 5 or 8-megapixels on the front, and a 3,600mAh battery. The handset runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top, as you’d expect.
Also, the alleged live photo showing the back of the Galaxy S7 leaked on the web. From past leaks, Samsung presumably will launch two models of the Galaxy S7 – the Edge and the regular flat one, shown above.
Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy S7 at an event at the MWC in Barcelona on February 21.
