Earlier, Google helped users to find a lost Android phone and brings the same feature to iPhones as well. Google has added a new feature to the My Account Page, tagged Find your phone, for your Google account. Click on Find your phone tab, you’ll find a list of supported devices, including phone, tablets, Android devices, and iOS devices. To use this feature, you should already have signed in with your Google account on your device and that will appear under your account.
Choose an iOS device and you’ll see five suggestions:
- Find and lock your iPhone
- Try calling your phone
- Sign out on your phone
- Reach out to your carrier
- Reach out for local help
These suggestions help you at the first point for a panicked phone owner. These options will point to iClound.com, as a simple fact that Google can’t take control of iOS devices. In a few simple steps, you can not only locate your phone, but also lock and call it, secure your account, leave a callback number on the screen, and more.
The company announces the new feature on a mark to celebrate My Account’s first birthday. This new feature is available on Android and iOS and will be made available soon by simply searching for “find my phone” or “I lost my phone” to locate your lost phone on a map at the top of the search results page.
