There are a lot of website testing tools out in the internet space but Google always has promising tools for business people. This new tool will join the list of already available testing tools for websites, including PageSpeed Tools, PageSpeed Insights, and its Mobile-Friendly Test. However, these tools are aimed at developers, webmasters and site designers, in fact, the technical team, but this new testing tool instead targets the business owners themselves – who may not have the technical knowledge to understand the output of former tools.

This new tool will analyze your website’s speed and its mobile-friendliness and rates it in a scale of 1-100 based on your site’s mobile design and loading speed. You don’t need to be a techie to use this tool, just type in your website URL and the tool will come up with a chart score of your site. It makes suggestions on things you need to fix and their priority level.  It looks at things like CSS, HTML, scripts, and images to see how long it takes for your website to load on both a desktop and mobile device.

TechieWheels - website mobile friendliness checking toolThis new testing tool is powered by PageSpeed Insights. Google is heavily focusing on the mobile web with its new technologies like AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages). Its worth to be noted that mobile searches surpass desktop searches in this fall so it’s time for website owners to focus on the mobile version of their site.

Techiewheels - website spped testing toolGoogle says an average user leaves the site if it doesn’t load on mobile within three seconds, so if your site takes much longer than that, your lower will appear lower.

“On average, people check their phones more than 150 times a day, and more searches occur on mobile phones than computers. But if a potential customer is on a phone, and a site isn’t easy to use, they’re five times more likely to leave,” Google wrote in a blog post announcing the tool, which was created in partnership with digital agency Huge.
