Apple today, at its press conference in Cupertino, San Francisco, unveiled the new 4-inch iPhone SE – the affordable iPhone to date. Alongside the new iPhone, the company also launched the new 9.7” iPad Pro.
Though, the iPhone SE is priced at $399 in the US, the SE will retail in India at Rs. 39,000 for the 16GB variant. The handset will go on sale starting from April. Apple also unveiled new accessories such as leather cases in Black and Midnight Blue, which will be available at Rs. 2,900. The Lightning Docks will be available at Rs. 3,700.
The iPhone SE is designed on par with iPhone 5s and, it gets the same innards of iPhone 6s under its hood. The handset sports a 4-inch display and is powered by the latest generation Apple S9 chip with a dual-core 1.85 GHz Twister processor and PowerVR GT7600 six-core graphics. It sports a 12-megapixel camera with 4K video support on the back along with Bluetooth 4.2, improved Wi-Fi and LTE, new microphones, and Apple Pay support with a Touch ID fingerprint sensor.
