Lava has launched a new smartphone Iris Atom 3 to increases its grip over the budget smartphone portfolio in India. The handset is positioned targeting the first time smartphone users in the country, a company statement said.

It is priced at Rs. 4,899 and the phone will be available through multiple platforms for purchase such as retail outlets and eCommerce sites. The phone has been listed on the company’s site, but there’s no word about its availability details.
The Lava Iris Atom 3 packs a 5-inch FWVGA (854×480 pixels) display, a quad-core processor, 512MB RAM, 8GB expandable storage, 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera.
The device runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box with a 2000mAh battery. The dual-SIM smartphone comes with GPRS/ EDGE, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro-USB, and 3G connectivity options. It will be available in black and white colors.
