Chinese tech firm LeEco has been diversifying its footsteps across an array of departments, and the now the company has launched its own on-demand content streaming services called the ‘LeEco Membership’ in India. With this entertainment streaming platform, users will be able to avail a diverse array of digital content streaming bundling service, content, and experience, ranging from movies to sports to music.
The company has just partnered with Eros Now, aiming to bring over 2000 movies on demand along with new blockbuster movies from 10 regional languages. Apart from movies, it will also provide Eros Now exclusive content.
First of its content part, Le Vidi app aggregates popular videos from across the internet, especially Youtube content. The app now supports only YouTube videos and with the complete roll-out, the app will offer a wider range of content later.
Next of is the Le Live service, a live streaming channel that will allow users to access up to 9 live streamed channels simultaneously. LeEco has partnered with Yupp TV and that will offer its users over 100 premium TV channels alongside exclusive Yupp Tv content.
Finally, its music streaming portfolio, that company has partnered with Hungama Music to power its Le Music streaming service. Users will have access to over 3.5 million songs across 20 plus regional languages at 320kbps audio along with full-HD music videos, and live concerts. Le Music is ad-free and users can save music offline as well.
Last but not the least, the last service in the package is the LeEco Drive that will give its users whopping 5TB cloud storage to store content.
The LeEco Membership is priced at Rs. 490 per month or Rs 4,900 per year will include Le Vidi, Le Live, Le Music, and LeEco Drive services. The company says that this package is Rs. 22,000 worth and it is offering at an affordable price to make it available to the masses. All these services will be made available to its smartphones via over-the-air updates.
Le Vidi and Le Live will be launched on May 24 while Le Music and LeEco Drive will make its way only in Q3 2016. The LeEco Membership will also give users a pickup service for repairs, green channels at customer care, exclusive discounts, and redeemable coupons.
The LeEco Membership is exclusive to LeEco smartphones for now; however, the company has plans to extend its services to other mobile users as well in the future. LeEco also announced that it will bring its smart TVs to India in a couple of months.
The company also launches Made in India LeEco Le 1s Eco smartphone in the country for Rs. 10,999.
