Vivo has launched a couple of new smartphones in India – the Vivo V3 and V3Max, adding to its new ‘V’ line of smartphones. Both the phones were launched globally that sports premium specs and features. The new V3 line of smartphones is packed together with metal bodies with slimmer bezels and is sturdier than their siblings.
The Vivo V3 features a 5-inch 720p display and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop skinned FunTouch OS 2.5 atop. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage and a 2550mAh battery.
As the name suggests, Vivo V3Max has a larger display and improved specifications than the V3. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass on top. Processor is Snapdragon 625 SoC, bumps up the RAM to 4GB and battery to 3000mAh.
Both the phones have the same camera configuration with a 13-megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus and LED flash. On the front, they feature a 5-megapixel camera. Both also have a fingerprint scanner on the back, which is blazing faster with 0.2 second read time.
The Vivo V3 and V3Max come with a high-quality AK4375 audio chip, LTE connectivity, Dual SIM support and Quick Charge. Both also feature split-screen functionality allowing the user to do multitasking. They will be available in China, India, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Myanmar and Indonesia in the first round of launch. The Vivo V3 and V3Max are priced at INR 17,980 ($270) and INR 23,980 ($360) respectively.
