Moto G4 Play

Lenovo, the company behind Motorola has announced two new fourth generation Moto smartphones earlier today – the Moto G4 and the Moto G4 Plus. Both phones were the upgraded version of the company’s popular budget Moto G3 line-up from last year and comes with larger display and better spec.

We had earlier reported that there’s another Moto G4 phone and it was announced shortly after them – the Moto G4 Play – the cheapest variant of the three. Apparently, it is the revamped version of the last year’s Moto G3 with a new design and splash proof.

Moto G4 PlayThe Moto G4 Play has a 720p 5-inch display which is powered by a Snapdragon 410 chipset that packs a quad-core 1.4GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and Adreno 306 GPU. Powering the processor is the 2GB RAM paired with 16GB of internal memory that is expandable. It has an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera with wide-angle lens. It is powered by a 2,800mAh battery and supports dual-SIM functionality and LTE connectivity.

Running stock Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, the handset will be available for purchase later this summer. There are no words on pricing details which will be announced later.
