Motorola 2017 lineup

Motorola’s plan for 2017 has been leaked through a presentation slide giving us a glimpse of the smartphone lineup that we could expect from the phone maker. Courtesy of Evan Blass, the leak shows the entire 2017 smartphone lineup in a single slide. Going by the reports, the brand will now have five variants of smartphone – Moto C, Moto E, Moto G, Moto X and Moto Z.

The lineup includes phones across all ranges from budget to premium that fit the target audience. The leaked image gives a run-down of new phones and their brief description and how they are represented in the product lineup. Starting with the entry-level smartphones, the Moto C and C Plus, categorized as ‘Unlimited Essentials’, the C variant will have a 5-inch 480p display with 4G and the C Plus will feature 5-inch 720p display and a 4000mAh a battery.

The next level of smartphones is represented as ‘Unlimited Value’ with the Moto E and E Plus. The regular E will come with a 5-inch 720p display with 2.5D curved glass and a fingerprint sensor. The E Plus will get a 5.5-inch 720p screen, a large 5000mAh battery and presumably will also have a fingerprint sensor.

Then comes up the G line – the Moto GS and GS+ tagged ‘Unlimited Premium’, which will sport a metal body while the GS features a 5.2-inch 1080 display , the GS+ comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p display with a dual camera setup. The X line was already leaked a while ago that contains Moto X4 (Unlimited Perfection). The phone will sport a 5.2-inch 1080 display with curved 3D glass and SmartCam.

Lastly, there’s a Z line (Unlimited Capabilities) which will feature the high-end smartphones – Z Play and the Z force. The former will have a 5.5-inch 1080 display and compatible with Moto Mods and the latter will feature ShatterShield (shatterproof plastic screen), Moto Mods support, and gigabit LTE. It will presumably have a 5.5-inch 1080p display. Given that the Z play being the top of the line will feature a Snapdragon 835 processor and best-in-class specifications.

That’s the entire 2017 lineup of Motorola for this year.
