The next generation Motorola smartphone, Moto G (5th Gen) is gearing up for launch on February 26, 2017, the Sunday before the MWC 2017 week. It’s usual for mobile companies to hold press conferences the before Sunday of the Mobile World Congress event. This year, we’ll witnessing Motorola, backed by Lenovo to announce two newer models of the next generation moto devices.
Yes, it is G5 series. The most anticipated Moto G5 and the Moto G5 Plus are expected to launch at the press event. There have several leaks and rumours doing rounds on the internet. After thorough analysis we have landed up with the accurate specifications and features of the latter, the Moto G5 Plus. There isn’t much info about the former, the Moto G5. But it is said that the back camera will the only difference between the phones.
The Moto G5 Plus, apparently, runs the latest Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and sports a 5.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display. The device is powered by a 2.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable inbuilt storage.
On camera front, you’ll be getting a 16-megapixel camera with f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, AF, dual LED flash and a 5-megapixel front Selfie camera. The phone is powered by a 3,080mAh battery. All standard connectivity options will be included with the phone. The fingerprint senor sits over the home button and the Motorola logo is embedded below the camera module on the back.
The Moto G5 Plus, this year’s flagship model, will go on sale in March and the expected price will be around $380. Stay tuned with us for this year’s MWC 2017 event.
