Asus has launched a new laptop series in India that features a liquid-cooling system which was announced at the IFA 2015. Called the ROG GX700, the world’s first liquid-cooling machine bears a price tag of Rs. 4,12,990. The laptop will be available only on request, so you’ll not be able to get your hands-on the machine at retail stores right now. Asus also launched a lite version of the laptop, the ROG Strix GL502 with prices starting from Rs. 1,27,990.
Packed inside a suitcase, the Asus ROG GX700 features a detachable ROG-exclusive Hydro Overclocking System cooling module. The GX700 houses the 6th generation Intel Core i7-6820HK which is a four-core eight-thread processor clocked at 2.7GHz with a Turbo frequency of 3.6GHz. It can support up to 64GB of RAM. In terms of storage, it houses a 512GB SSD RAM. On the graphics front, you’ll get a Nvidia Geforce GTX 980 that amounts to 8GB.
The Asus ROG GX700 features a 17-inch 4K UHD display powered by Nvidia G-Sync for smoother visuals. Tthe Hydro Overclocking System lets you overclock the CPU up to 40 percent and the 64GB DDR4 memory can be overclocked up to 43 percent. The liquid cooling dock features a custom self-sealing valve design with dual 82mm radiators and a pump. It also houses a traditional cooling system that runs without the need of liquid cooling dock.
Coming to the ROG Strix GL502, the laptop features an Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor with a core clock speed of 2.6GHz and a Turbo speed of 3.5GHz. It houses 16GB of DDR4 memory and comes with hybrid storage of 1TB HDD + 256GB SSD. It has a 15.6-inch full HD display and comes with Nvidia GTX 970M onboard. It is priced at Rs 1,27,990.
The GX700 will be available on request whereas the ROG Strix GL502 will be available at the company’s online and retail stores across the country.
