Dell on Monday launched the upgraded version of its best known Windows-powered tablet which is more powerful and efficient than its predecessor, the Dell Venue 8 Pro. The newly dubbed version – the Dell Venue 8 Pro 5000 has been improvised in terms of display, cellular connectivity and upgraded to Windows 10 operating system.
The new tablet is now listed on the company’s official site with the price range starting from $449 (roughly Rs. 30,300). The Dell Venue 8 Pro 5000 features an 8-inch full HD display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Powering the machine is the quad-core Intel Atom x5-Z8500 chipset, clock speed ranging from 1.44GHz up to 2.24GHz. The processor is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage with an optional microSD expansion up to 128GB.
The highlight of the device is that it sports a USB Type-C connector and a Micro-SIM card slot. Other specifications include 5-megapixels on the back, 2-megapixels on the front, NFC, Wi-Fi 2×2 802.11ac with Miracast, and Bluetooth 4.0. The device packs in a massive battery that power up to 19.5 hours and runs 64-bit Windows 10 Home or Pro edition.
